SFM tells me that since I got my hair cropped, I have been acting very fierce to all asunder (especially him?) I told him its not an act and really it is not the hair but sleep deprivation... What can I say, at 10 months 26 days Bubba D still does not sleep through the night. He wakes up once, twice thirsty as anything and drinks half a pint (or so it feels) of water before drifting back to sleep. And because I am a such light sleeper, I wake up both times and find it difficult to go back to sleep when it is my turn and also wake up and find it difficult to go back to sleep even when it is SFM's turn to tend to him...
Apart from that though, all is well and good. Bubba D continues to fill my heart with much love and joy. He recently started to walk sideways (whilst holding on to both animate and inanimate objects) and as a result have had several tumbles, one leading to a really swollen head and emergency visit to the A&E. I am seriously considering Azure's suggestion of putting him in a helmet. Hmmm, helmet for the head and bubble wrap for his knees, ankles and toes perhaps.
Work has picked up massively (which would explain the lack of posts since the New Year) I now have LOADS on my plate that I have ended up working after dinner tap tapping on the computer and sending out emails hoping that the recipients do not notice the time the emails were sent. Is it not terrible and slightly ridiculous when you have to worry not to be seen working through the night ?
I recently read The Last Lecture after reading about it sometime last year. Straight after finishing the book I went online to watch and listen to the last lecture. I must say that its certainly given me a lot to think about in terms of what I am doing and whether this is what I would like to be doing for the next x number of years. That Randy Pausch is certainly an amazing somebody -to remain chipper knowing that the end is nigh and leaving such meaningful and inspiring messages *as well as* education and knowledge as legacy ... wow. Some people are just special. Talking of special people, SFM has had to travel (again, shame). This time to Engerland and potentially Scotland. We were not terribly happy at the prospect of him being away for 2 weeks, but in these times, work is work is work is work. Unfortunately for him, he is also about to head into snow blizzards and land where there is very little transport to get him from point A to B (or so the media tells me). I hope he is ok and has managed to get into the office ok today - I did suggest that he pack a tray so that he may use this as a makeshift sleigh but for some reason this suggestion was not taken seriously.

What else is there? I have not finished labeling and am yet to conclude the de-cluttering the house process despite my putting away 4 bags of books and 2 bags of clothes to give away. I have a new policy in place now in relation to Books - all to go save classics, reference books, TBR and those deserving a second read. I have given myself a stern talking to - not to purchase any more until my TBR is reduced to a bookshelf (currently housed in two). This time I mean it. Honest guv I do.
